Raspberry Computer


The Raspberry Pi computer weighs about 50 grams, about the size of a bank card, but is a small computer that can do almost everything a normal computer can do.
This is exclusively designed and distributed in the UK, making it one of the best-selling computers in the UK.Although not well known in Sri Lanka, it is also known as the most used computer by students around the world.
    

Birth of raspberry


The inventor of this computer was a British computer scientist.While working at the University of Cambridge, he noticed that students were poor at programming and understanding the workings of the computer hardware level.So this is how this computer is created.Because it is very cheap .So learners can use it for experiments without any fear.

Computer layout

This is a small bank card-like device as shown in the picture above.There is no even a casing when you buy this.But this card contains everything you need to have a computer.So we can put a casing on it and make it as we want.
Now let's see what are the components includes.

1.chip-  The main component of this is this chip.This is the way it is in smartphones. 
This means that all functions are controlled by this (system on chip).It handles commands and controls for all components, including the ARM processor, graphics card, RAM, and USB controller.

2.HDMI -You can use this connection to connect this computer to a TV screen or a monitor.

3.Power socket-It has a micro usb port to power it.That means we can power it using a smartphone charger.

4.SD card slot-It does not have a hard drive, so it uses an SD card

5.GPIO(general purpose input/output)-This is a 40 point connector used to connect various devices to a Raspberry Pi computer.

6.CSI(camera Serial Interface-This is a connector that can connect the camera.

7.3.5mm Audio out

8.USB 2.0 ports

9.An ethernet port

These are the main components of this.


Operating System

Most Linux based operating systems can be ran on this computer.However, for Raspberry PCs, the Rasbury OS version of the Raspberry Pi version of the Debian operating system is especially recommended.

Ubuntu also has a raspberry version.
In addition, Windows 10 has an OS for small devices called Windows 10 IoT Core, which can also be used.


 



So technology enthusiasts around the world are eager to find work that can be done using this computer and are constantly publishing their findings.
That's why books written about raspberry computer work are selling fast in the world today.




As I said earlier, raspberries can do all the work that a normal computer can do.
In addition, there is a lot of work to be done with this. Also, new things are being added to this list day by day. few of things mentioned below.
1.Use them as control computers in the operation of various machines.
2. To configure server systems.
3. To operate robots.



4.As a computer in vehicles.
5. To handle drones.


6. For home security systems.

there are lot more applications.
The special thing is that all the hardware and software except the chipset of this computer are open source.Therefore, there is no legal impediment to developing these and selling the improved ones.
That is why this related market has expanded a lot. By now, Raspberry Pi produces about 4,000 computers a day.
